The past week has been kind of a roller coaster with the C-man. The whole teething thing is STILL going on, and we still have yet to see any actual teeth pop through! His two bottom & top teeth and the two top fangs are there, you can see the white and everything, they just won't come on through! It's torture for the poor kid! We've also been battling the beginnings of the "Mama's Boy Syndrome" as I like to call it. It was hell trying to clean house and do laundry this weekend! But on a good note, Carter is really making progress with his rolling over and attempting to sit up. I'm hoping within the next couple weeks he'll be sitting up on his own. Carter has also picked up on spitting, sticking his tongue out at you, blowing raspberries, pulling hair, grabbing face, and hard core head butting. And as you'll see in the following pictures, his body just can't quite keep up with the growth of his giant melon, so those head butts kinda hurt :-) We also had to invest in a new bath chair b/c the 'ole baby bath tub just wasn't working out anymore. By the end of his bath, Carter would be laying sideways in the tub b/c he's such a squirmy butt! The chair works MUCH better! The horrible heat has kinda put a damper on our outside time, but we still try to take the little guy out for a little while in the evenings once it's cooled off a bit. I can't believe how much the kid loves to be outside. He can be screaming his head off in the house and the instant you step outdoors, he's fine! Walk back in the house, and it's screaming again! I hope he continues to love the outdoors as he gets older b/c Brent and I love to be outside too. Plus, I would much rather have a kid likes to be outside playing than sitting in front of the TV! We took Carter to the lake last Friday night to see G-ma & G-pa Gibson. Thank God for the camper so we could retreat to the A/C for a while, but of course someone just wanted to be outside instead, so after supper we took Bubba on a nice long walk and he fell fast asleep!
Aww Mom, I look like a girl!
Much Better!Happy boy at the lake!
Well, enjoy the pics and I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
Junior and Sully have always loved being outside. They still cry and throw fits when it's time to come in. I usually have to bring out the big guns and tell Junior that it's bath time to get him to come in! LOL
ReplyDeleteThose choppers will start coming in soon. Once the first one comes in, it's all down hill from there. (until molars, which suck about like the first one!)
As the boys' doc says, them big ol' mellons mean big ol' brains! Junior's head has been at the 100th percentile since he was 15 months! LOL!
You guys have a great 4th, and Carter would probably get a kick out of sparklers. That's about the only thing our boys would pay much attention to at that age.
We have the same bathe chair for Hallie but she hates it. She does much better if I just hold her in the tub. Love the pictures and the one with the sun hat is great!! That is the same look Hallie gives Andy now. I weighted her the other night and she is at 14 pounds that is with a onesie and a diaper but really how far off can that be. hope you have a great 4th and take lots of pictures!!!
